Dandelion (Taraxacum) - This fresh herb preparation contains the extract of Taraxacum officinalis (Dandelion). The name Dandelion derives from the French for 'lion's' tooth. Abundant in fields, and the nightmare of the keen gardener, the young leaves can be eaten in salads or prepared like spinach.
Dandelion root and leaves have also been used for centuries in healthcare. The Arabian physicians extolled the virtues of dandelion as early as the tenth and eleventh centuries and in the 13th century the Welsh recognised its beneficial properties. The leaves are known colloquially as 'wet the bed'.
100g of fresh plant tincture (extracted in alcohol 50% by volume) typically contains the tincture of 100g Taraxacum officinalis.
